BandCamp Talkies is our own little way of helping you reconnect with cinema out in the open in a beautiful camping environment. Also, since the venue is BANDCAMP, there is going to be some great live music before the screening :) You can expect the movies to come from a mix of world cinema, classics and crowd favourites. The band before that will be indie, blues, retro music and so on! There will also be bonfires, a barbeque, sunset walks, and some great food! The campsite has large grounds and we’ve added hammocks, books, and games to ensure that there is something for everyone.
Magic Trip is a 2011 documentary film directed by Alison Ellwood and Alex Gibney, about Ken Kesey, Neal Cassady, and the Merry Pranksters. The documentary uses the 16 mm color footage shot by Kesey and the Merry Pranksters during their 1964 cross-country bus trip in the Further bus. The hyperkinetic Cassady is frequently seen driving the bus, jabbering, and sitting next to a sign that boasts, "Neal gets things done".
Sean is a singer-songwriter from Mumbai who likes to play his own songs and some fun covers as well. He has performed across venues and often has a cajon accompanying him.
Check-in and campsite orientation
Explore the campsite, play volleyball or board games, laze in a hammock or find a corner and read from our book stash. We will also walk through the fishing village to watch the sunset at the beach.
Return from the walk to a delicious barbecue, after which the band starts their gig.
Dinner starts around 10 pm where you’ll enjoy local cuisine. Post the gig, the movie is screened. As the night continues we have s’mores and jamming around the campfire. Whenever you call it a night you’ll be sleeping in your cozy tents!
We wake up to the birds tweeting and go for a sunrise walk. Later, indulge in a long and lazy breakfast while playing more games, listening to music and relaxing.
